HOW TO USE - No other cleansing aids needed (removes makeup/ "rosehip oil" for eye make-up).....

*Simply rinse face in warm water

*Apply ONE THIN film of soap DIRECTLY on to face by wiping over ONCE

*BRIEFLY with your HAND do ONE light wipe (DON'T OVER RUB or you will EXFOLIATE & DRY OUT)

*No lather needed - rinse off with warm water - REPEAT

*Splash your face with cold water to close your pores - this acts as a toner (astringent).

This is the "Original way" of cleaning. Allow 2 week trial.

Can do under shower to save time-when get to cold water stage do when out of shower over basin.

IN'S & OUT's - No Moisturiser or Toner needed -The cold pressed oils in the soaps leave their moisture behind on your skin making it feel soft and smooth. In drier weather you can pat a light film of our Rosehip oil on face. Your Toner is 'Cold Water'. You can alternate between the 3 soap mixtures depending on daily conditions. (can use any two combination at same time .e lavender on oily spot + Almond on rest of normal area or lavender in centre oily T-zone area and pawpaw on outside dry areas of face).

HINTS - Lasts approx minimum 4-6 months on face, using once a day in winter, twice a day in summer, as it does not dissolve easily. For your body - wipe over once, massage in then rinse off, repeat. To store use our STAINLESS STEEL TIN for long lasting freshness (we can supply label for tin) - cut 1/4 slice as needed using seperate piece each for body & face.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS COMMONLY ASKED:

~Q-You only have 2 big words in your whole range-so what are hydroxides?

~A- Hydroxides are usually sodium and /or potassim hydroxides, commonly known as soda lye, potash or caustic soda. True soap occurs in nature's plants such as Soapbark (Quillaja saponaria), Soapberry (Sapindus mukorossi) and Soapwort (Saponaria officinalis) all containing main ingredient 'Saponin' which forms the foamy lather.

The original recipe for soap was a fat (animal or vegatable) combined with 'woodash' (creating reaction  of the alkalies in the ashes from a cooking fire) with water added to it (as a vehicle for the alkali).

The purist form of this process today would be a true premium 'castille' soap made on 100% olive oil-unfortunately very few remain true to the original historical formulations without the additives of synthetic surfactants, etc.

Hydroxides is the synthesised version of this alkali and having a strong alkaline base that converts all those gorgeous cold -pressed oils, fruits, honeys & apple cider vinegar into a hard long lasting soap. Using a very low % of hydroxides and if the soap has been saponified and matured correctly the hydroxides are not present in soaps end result and contribute to a soap that leaves your skin soft . Without this ingredient and process your soap would be gone in 2-3 washes and would dry your skin out!

Saponification is a name also given to the above chemical alkali reaction. Saponified oils (ie coconut ) on other soaps ingredients list is simply a name now used for oils ie.coconut oil that has undergone the above process with a synthetic alkali -being no more natural than a quality soap made using sodium and /or potassim hydroxides, commonly known as soda lye, potash or caustic soda.

Commercial soaps not only can be too alkaline but these days also add all sorts of synthetic chemical cocktails to aid as preservatives, moisturising agents,anti-microbials & cleansors. This of course can be harsh and drying and has given the good old fashioned high quality 'simple natural handmade processed' soap of yesteryear a bad name.

~Q- Why are the 'facial soaps' so expensive when they are just a soap?

~A- Try our Soaps and see the difference -if used correctly and following our DETAILED instructions on how you apply and using cold water as your toner-you will be amazed on the softness and non-abrasive feel of your face and feel the result the cold-pressed oils have left behind-to think some people have reported lasts 1 year (we say min 6 mths)

REMEMBER! they are made from quality cold-pressed oils and the process in making them is unique and time consuming to give you the concentrated end result.

~Q- Why do you use "Palm oil' in your soaps and where do you source it from?

~A #1- We use 'Palm Oil' as it is the best oil for our formula to acquire the long lasting life it has, the best moisturising reaction and create the 3 multipurpose actions -which in turn is a huge positive towards 'Carbon Crediting' when you compare how many soaps you would have to buy of other brands and then buy toner and moisturiser as well.

~A #2- We source our Palm Oil through an Australian company that has validated with us that their source is an active participater of 'Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil' (RSPO-established under Article 60 of the Swiss Civil Code- a not for profit association). They only source their Palm Oil from other RSPO members which is only allowed to come from well established (over 2 decades ago) plantations that were originally back then converted from rubber plantations . There is no implications of present or planned destruction in these areas and none of them are located in Borneo or Sumatra.

Note: that Greenpeace are known as a watchdog and to monitor ships delivering RSPO Palm oil.......
